Unraveling, by Sara Ella (BOOK REVIEW)
"Sometimes there is no solution. Sometimes there's simply an end."
After defeating her grandfather and saving the Second Reflection, Eliyana isn't sure what to believe anymore. Reality is all she can put her trust in. She's trying to forget the unexplained Kiss of Infinity with Ky and focus on Joshua. In the midst of trying to get her life back together, she has to fill the new role of queen. With everything slowly unraveling apart Eliyana can't seem to understand why something is missing...someone's missing. Callings start failing and Eliyana starts to search after Ky wondering if he has something to do with it. The only problem is, can Eliyana see Ky again without falling in love?
"Time is, indeed, a strange and wondrous thing. It has no beginning or end, it seems. Time goes on, forward and backward, this way and that. But perspective is an illusion, for we know all things begin somewhere."
Oh my goodness! You can call me a girly-girl but I LOVE this series! This is the second book in the Unblemished series and wow! It didn't ruin the first book in any way, but improved upon it. I really loved how this book included Ky and Joshua's perspective as well, where as, Unblemished only has Eliyana's perspective. I was also really glad that this book picked up right from where Unblemished ended. Every page is action packed and doesn't get dull or boring. Some parts were pretty cheesy, but hey, it is a fantasy book. I really love this love triangle that's going on too! This book had tons of plots twist that kept me constantly engaged and invested in the outcome of the story. I love books that have their own world in my head. This series has such a special place in my heart. Sara Ella's writing has a really laid-back vibe that's super raw and relatable. I love how Ella is able to keep her books fast-paced but also not rushed. That, my friend, is pure talent.
I give this book a 9 out of 10 and recommend it for ages 14+
