My Favorite Classic Christmas Movies

My Favorite Classic Christmas Movies

Christmas movies are very nostalgic for me and they are a big part of my family's Christmas-time. In my opinion, some of the best movies ever made are Christmas movies. Here are a few of my favorite Classic Christmas movies. I recommend you watch them with a cup of hot cocoa or over a cuppa tea!

"My dear partner, when whats left of you gets around to whats left to be gotten, whats left to be gotten won't be worth getting, whatever it is you've got left."           -White Christmas

White Christmas is a memorable classic! It is such a love-able movie that ties in love, life's trials, and the dream that we all have of a White Christmas. I love quoting this movie with my friends and family! This movie has a bunch of amazing songs and not to mention Bing Crosby.

"Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings."

This movie follows the life of a man named George Bailey. George goes through childhood, finds love and has children. At a point in this movie, George becomes suicidal and God sends an angle to teach George that it's a wonderful life.

This movie brings back so many memories! I really enjoy this movie and the lesson that it teaches. The storyline is very unique, which makes this movie so unforgettable. It has such a wonderful display of what a beautiful family is and how good friends always have your back.

"Some angels rush in where fools fear to tread."

This movie is another one with an angel intervening in the lives of struggling families. A Bishop is struggling to raise money to build a Cathedral. A man named Dudley, who claims to be an angel, visits the Bishop. The problem is, the Bishops wife falls in love with Dudley, the angel. I really enjoy this movie and love the humor.

"Oh, Christmas isn't just a day, it's a frame of mind... and that's what's been changing."

After a divorced New York mother hires a "nice old man", named Kris Kringle, to be Santa Claus in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, she becomes confused at the fact that the man claims to actually be Santa Claus. This so called "mental problem" causes Kris to go to court with the chance to prove that he is truly Santa Claus.

Miracle on 34th street is a one of a kind movie that proves Santa Claus is real (*wink wink*). I love this movie and although I know Santa isn't real, I love the premise of the story.

"Watch now. I show you how to flip-flop the flip-flops."

While a soldier is recovering in the hospital, the nurses give him a homemakers magazine. The nurses arrange with the author of the magazine to have the soldier stay with them over the holidays. The soldier soon falls in love with a woman who's married, or so he thinks...

This movie is one of my favorites! It's a great movie that deals with love and the freedom of truth.

"You could melt her heart right down to butter, if only you'd turn up the heat!"

This movie has heartache and romance in it all at the same time. Two men fall in love with the same lady too many times and they both wonder if they will every truly find love.

This movie is a great one to watch during all holidays. Although some of my friends don't really like it, I think the reason why I love it is that I grew up watching this movie every year. It brings back so many memories!

Happy Christmas Movie Watching!
