The Oath (BOOK REVIEW)
Hyde River is terrified as they watch their citizens disappear...one by one...
Cliff is dead...everyone wants to think it was a bear but they truly know it must have been something much bigger.
Cliffs brother Steve is on the search to find out what is lurking in Hyde River as all of the residents slowly grow a black rash over their hearts. More people go missing happily and are overtaken by evil and sin. What or who is this bloody murderer. When Steve discovers the murderer and discovers that he is in a town that serves sin and that any outsider that might bring in peace will be spit out and killed.
This book is probably my top (so far) out of all Frank Peretti's books. It was just so enjoyable and so intriguing! I love how Frank Peretti brings in a exciting more adventure book and ties in such a good moral and spiritual lesson. This one really tied in the important lesson that sin can take over and destroy only if we let it. So many people try to deny their sin but we need to deny ourselves and confess our sin. Sin is real and it will slowly destroy us. Frank Peretti is such a good and visual author. The Oath is not a waste of time!
I would recommend this book for more mature teens and all adults. (There is some adult content)
