Gone-away-lake (BOOK REVIEW)
When Portia and Foster are sent on a train, by their parents, to their Aunt and Uncle’s house, they are expecting a normal summer. Portia and her cousin Julian spend an amazing summer exploring when they find a mysterious stone with a hidden message. The mysterious message uncovers the location of a long lost lake. When Portia and Julian the lake they are amazed to see that people are living there! Join Portia and Julian for a fun and adventurous summer!
This book in my opinion was a little slow and boring, but if was enjoyable enough to finish in a couple weeks! It was probably written for younger kids around 6. It is a pretty short book only 15 chapters.
Overall a good book. There is also a second book called “Return to Gone Away”.
I would recommend this book for all adults and children 6+
