Cress, by Marissa Meyer (BOOK REVIEW)
"Captain?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think it was destiny that brought us together?"
He squinted and, after a thoughtful moment, shook his head. "No. I'm pretty sure it was Cinder."
All hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood. Her only knowledge and company has laid in netscreens. All her experience with netscreens has made Cress an excellent hacker. But with orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome duo, Cress must decided whether or not to obey. Then everything changes when Cress is rescued. Now that she finally has her freedom, Cress becomes determined to stop Levana. Meanwhile, Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai.
"I promise, I will not let you die without being kissed."
This was by far my favorite book in the Lunar Chronicles. Like, wow! You wanna know why it was so good?

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I absolutely loved this book! The humor, romance and banter was *chef's kiss*. The plot was amazing.
The characters in this series are so cute. The whole "friend group" trope is so fun to read. I was so thankful to get multiple povs so I could know what was going on with each character.
I love how balanced Meyer's writing style is. Personally, I think this book was paced really well. If you know me, I need DETAILS! In that sense, I was quite satisfied. I think I've said this in the reviews of the previous book in the series, but reading this book was like a watching a movie. I don't like when the writing is way too easy, but sometimes it's good to read easier writing that doesn't hurt your brain. That's how this series is; the perfect balance.
Now we move onto the romance. I have four words: witty, cute, swoon-worthy and fun. Like, literally, I love, love, loved all of Thorne and Cress's interactions. But not even Thorne and Cress, but Thorne and Cinder were so funny too.
I will say that the political side of the book was necessary to the plot, but not my favorite. Every time we went to Kai's pov I was kinda like, Ehhh. How long is this chapter?. But like I said, it's a ginormous piece to the plot, so, ya know.
I feel like this book was really building up the suspense for the last book (Winter). So, the ending was definitely crazy and you will immediately need the next book.
"How are your eyes?" she asked
"Well, I've been told their dreamy, but I'll let you decide for yourself."
I give this book an 8.5 out of 10 and recommend it to ages 13+
